Paying $6 to $20+ per hour!

Our company was started in 2006 as a LIVE web chat service, known locally as Finger Lakes Web Answering. As we have grown we noticed a strong need for small businesses to have additional back office support for handling inbound and outbound phone calls, e-mail follow up, data collection and input, etc. We saw this need and continually strive to meet it.

We work with individuals that treasure the ability to work from home as freelance independent contractors or they may work out of one of our call centers like in Canandaigua. Essentially you tell us what type of work and hours you would like to do and we try to match it with our needs. Right now the majority of our business is handling incoming sales calls, but we also have people working on data verifications, preparing and e-mailing newsletters, and outbound customer development programs. We have over 75 Independent Contractors working with us.

As a freelancer, you are responsible for providing all your own equipment. We do have to make sure your equipment will work in our settings- usually that just means a good computer, a computer headset (USB preferred), possibly free long distance depending on the program you are working, your own taxes, etc. See below for our system requirements.

Our freelancers are all hired by and paid through our employment agency GURU ( www.GURU.com ). Guru provides direct deposit, a 1099, etc. There is a charge to the freelancer for their services but it is an excellent place to get additional short term jobs. After a contractor has worked more than 300 hours for us we will reimburse them for a annual GURU membership so they qualify for the lowest fees possible. GURU is explained in more detail on the form below.

Our compensation is performance based, with a hourly base and then added payments during weeks that you have met specific targets. See the attached form for specific information. Some of our operators are now making over $20 per hour.
